ONE BRIGHT STAR


I look up in the sky above and see a star
Wondering to myself, where you are
The stars shimmer so clear and bright
Bringing happiness all through the night
When the moon shines on the land below
It is at this time that we all will know
The time has come for us to get some rest
For our bodies need it, for that is best
The stars show us signs in all different ways
It all started with the birth of Christ on that special day
The three kings paid homage with gifts to show kindness
As we do the same giving each other more or less
You see it is not the size or worth of the gift
It is how it came from our heart and gave each other that lift
The people and animals came from all over to see the new born king
Just as families and friends gather together for everything
There once was a child who had nothing to give other than his love
And this is why we have Christmas...the season of love
So when you are buying that special toy, doll or car
Just remember that the meaning of Christmas is that...
