PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR PAIN
I feel it in your words at times
When the clock stops ticking or ends its chimes
Your hurt is deep, please give it to me
I want you to always be pain free
Lord, give me the power to do this please
I know it will help, the suffering to ease
The world can be painful at the best of times
Without a reason or even a rhyme
Please grant me one wish so the pain will be gone
Just so my friend can let life go on
Let me be there for them as they are for me
Then they will be healthy again, don't you see
I have not asked much from You and I never will
Please do this for me so they will have the will
I love You, Lord, as I ask You again
Send down Your angels and guide my friend
They deserve a new life with a brand new start
This will allow them and You never to part
