JUST A ROSE


My favourite flower has got to be the rose
It is a sign of friendship, and everyone knows
Red is the love that we have shared, as the days went by
It is an everlasting feeling, deep inside your eyes
Pink would be a sign, of warmth from your heart
Knowing that the bond we share was right from the start
Yellow would be knowing, that I would always be there
For when you need a shoulder, just to know I care
There are so many colours, like purple, peach and white
It does not matter, as long as the time is right
Roses are given from one heart to another
From a husband to a wife, or a sister to a brother
Roses are like the love that we share
Whether it has whithered. the thought will always be there
So the next time you receive a rose, it will be from the soul
But once it has been accepted, you will become whole.
