The Shades That We Made
Each child that is born is special in deed They were put on this earth for their need They will teach us to love, unconditionally They will not prejudge, and never hate, especially They will keep smiling , laughing and caring too They will teach us to look to the future, as they always do The warmth in their heart fills us with joy A lesson to love, is in each girl and boy Skin colour or race never will matter If they lose a friend, it will make them sadder Each child can be described by a crayon There may be a Peach, sweet as can be Or Apple , like the fruit from a tree Orange, Black, Brown or Green Yellow, Red they are endless it seems They remind me of the happiness each child will bring Colours of a rainbow, a sign of a new beginning So cherish each hug that they will give As each day they will share, will be one more to live
