SPRING BREAK


Easter is just around the corner, I can feel it in the air
The children are so excited, without any cares
We are all outside, enjoying the sun
KOLE and TREVOR play tag and have fun
JESSICA and CHRISTINE want to skip with their friends
SAMANTHA and TABITHA grab the skipping rope ends
Now they sing together as KA'VONTICE and LILLY run around
KORBIN, CODY and JORDON play marbles on the ground
COURTNEY and TANISHA play hopscotch and laugh
As THOMAS and DAVID pretend they have a treasure map
They wander through the yard, looking for some gold
As I reflect, I then realize, children never get old
EVAN, TYLAR and LEE look for some sticks
So they can pretend to do magical tricks
And there is MAGAN picking some daisies
As a butterfly soars through the air so lazy
J-ONNIE and LISA run through the yard
The setting is as beautiful as a greeting card
There goes the final bell, as I shed a small tear
Because I will miss them, for SPRING BREAK is now here
They are so dear to me, each one in their own way
They make me smile each and every day
