THE STORM BEFORE THE CALM
The cool dawn mist lifting from the calm lake As I stare at the fog rising, it reminds me of every breath I take It gives me chills through my body as the loon makes its call Just as the beaveer slaps it's tail when the tree falls It's such a peaceful feeling, the calm before the storm Everything is at a standstill, far from the norm The fish start jumping to look for their food The world around me seems at peace, as it should The wind starts to pick up as the clouds start to rumble The raindrops start slowly as the bees start to bumble The scattering of the raindrops increase by the second I look at the black clouds, the storm is here I reckon Reflecting with each raindrop, in our life we make choices There are some good and bad ones, but we always listen to the voices Before each choice there is the calm and then the storm may follow But when we learn from our mistakes, it is easier to swallow So live each day to the fullest and try to keep that smile For with each storm follows the calm and will be for a while
