| | THE TOOTH FAIRY CAME

I remember the day that it all began
She came home from school; and how fast she ran
"Daddy, you won't believe what happened to me."
"Hurry! Hurry! I want you to see."
She came towards me and opened her mouth.
Gently she mumbled, but still very loud.
"Daddy! Look my tooth is loose now."
I asked her sympathetically; "But how?"
She replied, "It just came loose," and smiled at me
I hugged her tight and said, "Let me see."
She wiggled it back and forth, with ease
Then asked me kindly, "Please take it out, please?"
I gently tugged at it, as it now fell out
"Mommy! My tooth is gone," she screamed out loud
She got a tissue, to clean the tooth
As my daughter said proudly, "It's no more looth."
Her Mom said, "Come to your room now."
She followed, as I heard a faint little "OW"
You must put it under your pillow and sleep very sweet
In the morning, it will be gone and you will find a treat
You see the tooth fairy will come and go, while you sleep
As she leave, it will be your tooth that she will keep
So that night, my daughter went to bed
And when she awoke, she lifted her head
As she lifted the pillow, the tooth had disappeared
She came to our room, bearing one little tear
She woke both of us up, to our surprise
We could see her happiness, in her radiant eyes
The glow in her cheeks, said it all to me
For the TOOTH FAIRY came and she was as happy as can be
