EYES OF A TIGER
When you look into my eyes, what do you see? As I sit on top of this mountain top, just look out for me. I see my target approaching, from a distance below. A herd of gazelle running free, as if no tomorrow. I slowly creep down from my perch, and start my descent. I have eyed my prey, as my teeth are exposed and my mouth has opened. My powerful paws pounce on the rocks one at a time. Yet ever so softly, not to give them a sign. I have picked out the enemy as I start my stalk. I dart out after them; one stumbles on a rock. It has broken a leg, I punce for the kill. It was an easy capture, yet still a thrill. I remove every morsel, from the great mass. Leaving nothing behind except bones and a carcass. My cubs will share this feast when I get home. Now the vultures have come to pick at the bones. I now will return to the rock far above. To be with my family, whom I will always love. We always stick together, through thick and thin. As my cubs begin to grow, their lives will soon begin. I am that mysterious tiger, striped in disguise. But seriously now, can you look into my eyes?
