WHY CAN'T THIS BE FOREVER?
It seemed like a dream on the day we met
You held my hand tight as we danced that set
You looked in my eyes and I looked back
Our hearts started beating like wheels on a track
We hold each other close as our lips start to kiss
Then we hold each other tight and remember what we miss
The embrace is so warm, sensual and close
We then share some wine and make a toast
We are frozen like a frame in a slide show
I hold you even tighter not wanting to let you go
Our friendship goes on forever, or so it seems
Then I ask myself, "Is this real, or just in my dreams?"
