On June 14th of 2004 we sadly had to say good-bye to Harley the dog. A couple of months ago Harley developed a tumor on his lower right jaw. We had his vet, Dr. Fetzer of Arlington Park Animal Hospital, try to see if the tumor could be removed but it was too far along. Dr. Fetzer did remove some teeth and clean the area around the tumor to help releive some pain and give him a little more time.

Sadly, the tumor got larger and Harley got to be in more and more pain and was on pain killers all the time. We went to see Dr. Fetzer and we were told the tumor had gotten so large that it ate away his jaw and it had broken it. Reluctantly, we came to the conclusion that the only humane thing to do was to put Harley under as Dr. Fetzer had suggested; and had previously warned us would eventually be the end result of the tumor.

Kids & Creatures
Harley will be sorely missed by all of us for he was a always a well behaved creature who liked to stay inside and be with all the family. He raely barked, except of course at the Postman, and never fought with the other creatures. We all hope he is in a good place and that he is no longer feeling any pain. We will always love him.

P.S. Judy and I would like to thank Dr. Fetzer and the whole staff of Arlington
Park Animal Hospital for their patience and kindness during a very difficult time.
