Rise of Rome

You need the original Age of Empires to install and play this game, but the investment's worth it. I'm still learning. The more I play it; the more I like it. And, it's historical!!! Wow!!
Microsoft has a whole series of Age of Empires, and I intend to review all of them, with Microsoft's help. That's how much I like The Rise of Rome. Can you believe kids can build an empire and run it themselves? I still can't believe it.
Now, that I've touted Microsoft on this series, what exactly makes it work. Well, the resources of Microsoft's development team sure do. They've created a game that is nothing but education -- and , fun. But, remember you first must get the original AOE and install it first. Rise of Rome will NOT work without it. Nope, take my word. When I asked to review it, I didn't know this and the company had to ship me the original AOE. But, I'll say it again, it was worth it.
The program even has a web site with tremendous resources and other things. And, it too is good!!
The program gives the player the chance to experience conflict, intrigue, greed, and power as he/she creates their own version of the Roman Empire. He, or she, can wage war throughout an ascending and descending Roman Empire. Plan growth.... Relive key moments in history.... See Augustus Caesar against Cleopatra and Marc Antony. Hannibal and his elephants...
