The Easter Season

Easter Sunday is the highest holy day in the Christian year. On this day we proclaim the resurrection of our Lord. The Cross is unveiled, the decorations and flowers are placed back in the church and the people who were fasting and being so diligent in their worship celebrate a great 50 day feast with our Lord. 40 days of Easter and 10 days celebrating the Ascension of Christ.
This is the day that Death is defeated and the Grave has lost its power. This is the day when the King of the Jews has arisen from his three day prison. Our faith is validated and sanctified in the resurrection of Christ! Alleluia!
