IN MEMORY OF THE FALLEN BRAVE, OR IN HONOR OF OUR VETERANS

A Prayer for the Armed
Forces of the United States
Almighty God,
we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our Armed
Forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace;
strengthen them in their trials and temptations; give them courage to face the
perils which beset them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence
wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
-From the Book of Common
Prayer
I would like to remember my fellow
service members who have died in the defense of our country. From the time
the United States of America was born, men and women have selflessly given
themselves to the service of their country. They have given their time and
many have given their very lives.
Imagine leaving your family for
months at a time. Missing Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries.
Missing the birth of your child or a loved one's funeral.
Men and women in our Armed Forces do
this everyday. This page is in memory of the Fallen Brave, and in honor of
those who stand on a wall and protect us from danger, in honor of the ones who
say that "I will keep you safe tonight", and for the ones who gladly and proudly
proclaim "I have the Watch."
May God grant all in the Armed Forces
the strength and courage to carry on and keep the Watch.

Corpsman, United States Navy
