Your historical information is not accurate. Sifu Jimmy Woo was never an assistant to Ed Parker, in fact, Sifu Woo was helping Parker create secrets of Chinese karate technical area. Sifu Woo ended up not helping any furth r on the project. When Sifu Woo left all of Parker's advanced students left as well. As far as Bruce Jenknik obtaining rank from James Mitose- it is impossible!!! James Mitose died in prison. I have heard this bull for years. Oh well, there are lots of fa e reputations in the martial arts community. Dave Simmons 6th dan Kenpo Karate.

I remember Sparring and I didn't have my hands in a fist , they were open. My "Sensei" told me to "close them as to not get hurt by my opponents kick or punch" I told him, "but, I'll move my hands if they're in the way" he replied "what if you don't move them fast enough?" "I will though" I said. he Told me to "just close them anyway, it's not the right stance, it has to be strong.". I was about 10 or 12 and I can remember that one moment for a reason and after reading the article from the Black Belt Magazine you had in the Jeet Kune Do section I think I may know why I remember it so well. Thanks for the information you put on here, I think it helped me "see the finger" |
