~People saying they Hate Guam~
Hafa Adai,
Well, As of the last couple of days, as summer progresses, I have taken a notice to the uproar of discontentment provided by some individuals who have been \ldblquote forced\rdblquote to remain on our island of Guam. Okay, done with the formal talk, LET' S GET REAL!
While I will be the first to admit that our island is not exactly the most modern of destinations with the recreational activities available for the youth, I will also be the first to admit that I LIKE IT THIS WAY! While we may lack in the Mega Mall department, w e excel in other departments. I like to think that we have some of the warmest and nicest people that are known to man. My thoughts have been backed up and supported by many people. I know many of you are thinking, "Oh this brown guy got some other brown people to agree with him" well sorry to disappoint you jack-offs who feel that way, but the people who support my thoughts are exactly the opposite of that description. The people I hear this from the most are the "mainlanders" . THAT'S RIGHT! The good ole' fabric of Americana.
While our island may lack in some of the popping effects of modern America, it also remains free of some of the atrocities that plague our great country. While we may not have a WalMart, we also do not have Drive-by shootings. While we may not have huge amusement parks we do not have huge gang wars that sacrifice the lives of many innocent bystanders.
Don't get me wrong, I love my country. I am USA all the WAY! It is the American Resolve and determination, which has allowed me to speak my mind like this. I would not want to live and grow anywhere else, but here in America. And like we as a whole American nation say to foreigners who complain about our country and our culture, I will say to those who have beef with my island," Love it or leave it, and if you can' t get used to it!"
I have another thought about that, why isn't Guam American enough for some people? Why do some people still think that Guam has not been around of paid enough dues to be known as America? What the hell man? I mean millions of Guamanians have entered the American Armed Forces and continue to defend our nation and our nation\rquote s morals. When will this be good enough? I am not asking for people, to make a huge gold sign that says," Guam, Puerto Rico... are all American!" All I am asking is that when I go to Amazon or Hotmail to register, I can select "Country: USA...Area: Guam" I don' t think we are ready to be a state, but for crying out loud, a little acknowledgment please... OKAY I AM DONE!
