After a long heart rending wait a family in Leitrim has been re-united with it's confidant and favorite cow (5).
The missing cow re-appeared yesterday evening after a three week absence from the back field.
The investigating unit of Leitrim Maicre na Ferime have traced the cow to 'the other field'. The cow (5) had escaped by carrying off a daring imitation of the head of Leitrim Chamber of Commerce. It posed for the rest of the three week crisis as a leading light in the St. Mary's Parish antiquarian society.
Sean Brennan, branch leader of Leitrim MnF's political wing has warned farmers in the 'Unlovely County' never again to underestimate the guile and stealth of 'sucky cows', many of whom run to half a ton in weight, with the ability to move at up to 10mph.
