The Pre-Tour Jitters

Ok...so most of my friends already know about these from mailings sent out as detail were forthcoming..For those of you who don't...

THE BACKGROUND...

Went to a really disastrous funeral in Oklahoma....... After that one, I wanted to get the hell as far away from certain drunken assholes as I could... So... when I got home, my wife told me of a message from Tony over at LD Systems... It was about a tour with some band whose name he didn't know... He didn't have any details, but said that the contact over in Holland has done tons of business with him, including The Butthole Surfers... Needless to say, I was excited, and ready to go, since the original plan was to fly me off to Europe to do a few shows, then come back here to the States and do a month long tour of the East Coast, the Midwest, and the West Coast....Well...ya know how it goes.... I RAN to the Passport Agency here in town, waited forever, and shelled out 30 extra bucks to have my passport expedited.... Gah, my passport photo's terrible... I looked like a thug... I had to shave after that... no more facial hair for me... Gah!... Can ya believe they actually had it done within 24 hours? And this is the Feds for ya! Anyway... I sat around for a friggin WEEK until they called back... I even called their hotel in Norway, trying to find them... and I missed them by 5 minutes... by Wednesday, I knew the band was named GusGus, so I ran out and bought the CD to see what I was getting myself into... Apparently, the CD is more like a SOUNDTRACK to the video affects that they do in concert... which explained a LOT when they did finally call me on the Fourth... Anyway... what they told me was this... they have a huge video screen and two projectors... they mix video images on the screen to go with the soundtrack... and they only wanted ONE COLOR of light... GREEN.... So... don't expect any super-fantastic lighting like I am known for. This is lay back, turn them on, and play with the CyberLights... Not that I mind.. Ten bucks is ten bucks, eh....

I spent half the night on the phone and 'puter with friends all across the country... A good time was had by all... I'm getting so hyped about meeting so many of my good friends IRL....

Anyway...

Be sure to look for more updates from the Road!

and.... ummmmmm...can some of my friends out there let me borrow their 'puters so I can post these silly little pages? Like HELL I'm gonna give ya my Geocities password so y'all can do it yourselves.......

(leans on Leiamy....she's first)

See Ya!
