Hello! Welcome to my "Start of the Dragon Page!" This page gives an
explaination about the imprtance of dragons in Orental folklore (even though
Orental dragons are ugly). I found most of this information from a
book entitled Giants, Monsters & Dragons, by Carol Rose. Enjoy!
The Chineese, according to this book, have had emperors closly associated
with dragons since before 2356 B.C. In fact it was said that Emperor Yaou
was sired by a dragon! The appereance of the dragon in China was considered
a time of prosparity and peace for all of the people and held in high regard.
The dragon is also one of the twleve animals representing a month is the
twleve year zodiac cycle.
