Neridia led the way as the leader of the alliance. We ran through a beach area outside Selbina, and through some fields, eventually reaching an immense area of barren land,. This, my friends, was the route to Bastok. We soon reached our destination of Bastok, and waited near the place to buy maps. Rokugo and Palinmage gave me the money I needed to purchase the maps of Bastok and the Palborough Mines.

     We advanced towards the mines, sans a few party members, and met up with other members of the AlienGundan linkshell [pic]. Cphoenix gave me the linkshell, and then the large group of us entered the mines, ready to do some serious exploring [pic]. I did 0 damage to every enemy that was encountered. I'm also sure that if I was attacked, I would be killed in one shot. Needless to say, I was just along for the ride.

     There were plenty of Veteran Quadavs and such greeting us along the way, making the trip quite dangerous. We determined that our destination would be the black, burnt looking spot, on the map. We tried one path there, but it was blocked. We entered an elevator, and rode it to the first floor, only to ride it back up to the second floor of the mines [pic].

     We then started off towards the second path leading to the black spot. We got there, and then something happened to make all of our jaws drop. Seven Veteran Quadavs appeared and took us out, one by one. Obviously, I was the first one, but I stood around with my dead body, watching the action. We all met the same fate... all but Etoh, I believe. He wasn't partied with us if I remember correctly.

     Well, most of us disbanded at that time, but I returned later to level up [pic]. Doing 0 damage truly showed my worthlessness to the party. I leveled up to 4 [pic], and eventually met up with another level 4 named Olivier. He spoke little/no English, but I was still able to communicate with him [pic].

     We fought a bit, his white magic keeping me alive against the Young Quadavs, but we proved to be too low leveled [pic]. We died so often, that we were losing slightly more experience than we were gaining. Though our party fighting was fun, we called it quits to level on our own.

     I played a few hours longer, and leveled up to 6. I could now steal, but it was unsuccessful every time that I have tried it so far. I still need more levels, and hopefully I will prove to have some value to our party next adventure.
