Chapter 18:
The Next Generation The Grandchildren Adam C My first grandchild was Adam Huminski, born October 10th, 1980? His Dad is Eugene Huminski and his mother was my first born daughter (Alias...The wicked witch or bitch), Susan Stevens Huminski. She is now 57. They lived in Red Bank. I rode my bike from Eatontown to Red Bank to see him. He was cute as a button. I would take him for walks to Fair Haven and back home. Susie did her best to keep us apart as she and I didn't get along. NO ONE GETS ALONG WITH HER TO THIS DAY! I found out years later that Ski was NOT the biological father of Adam (Susie had had a quick affair with the dish washer at the Squires Pub and Adam was the result), but Ski was a good Dad and his parents were GREAT grandparents. Adam is a really handsome young guy who's passion for life is surfing. He works all summer, surfs every chance he has, saves his money and goes to Purto Rico in the winter and surfs there. I seldom see him but love him dearly. Susie cheated him out of a loving grandmother and uncle! I hate her for that, but Adam sees right through her now. Adam played in the little league as a pitcher and was really good. One day a pitch came back and hit him right by his eye and he gave up the game. Then along came his brother Steven. Steven He IS Ski's biological son. He's cute and the ONLY young man I know who (still to this day) has never had a driver's licence, and doesn't seem to want one. Go figure! His passion was skateboarding, but now also loves to surf with his brother. They BOTH go south in the winter. Adam also started out as a skateboarder. Steven had a problem a few years ago and ended up in rehab but I think he's cured now. I HOPE SO !They BOTH turned out great kids IN SPITE OF SUSIE, NOT BECAUSE OF HER! They both live around Belmar or with their DAd in the summer time. Ski takes his vacation in the winter and goes down to Puerto Rico to visit them. I'm always happy to see them and hope they will both make out good in life. I wish them the best! Kristin ... She is Linda and Basil Ferrentino's daughter. She was adorable as a baby and little girl. MY sweetie! This poor kid has really had a VERY tough life. Her father committed suicide and her mother is an addict. She has been shuffled ALL over the state, living here and there and everywhere. She is sweet and VERY smart, but has been home schooled most of her life because she gets upset when she's in a crowd or school. She really needs some LONG term counseling but refuses to go. It's a darn shame she didn't go to college as she has the brains to be anything she wants to be. I wish Sally had taken her in and helped her (she is her God-Mother), and had the means but was too into her own self to do anything. A SHAME REALLY ! I seldom see her either as she lives with her father's mother in Milville, N.J. She got her first job this past Xmas and I think is still working there. She likes her job as all her friends hang out there. She works in a store like the GAP. CJ CJ White came into my life on April 12,1996. He was born in the Pomoma hospital right next to Stockton. Chris called me at 8:15 AM to tell me of his arrival. I was working for Katheryn Barnett in Colts neck at the time. She said I could have the day off to drive down to see him. I burnt the highway up, getting there in one hour! Chris came out in scrubs and took me back to where Deneen was. She had had a cecearian (Spelling!) and was in pain, but she looked good. The nurse brought CJ in and handed him to me. JUST ONE LOOK and I thought I had gone back to the time of Chris' birth. He looked EXACTLY like his father did. I would have sworn I was holding Chris as a baby all over again. WHAT A WONDERFUL feeling! He has been a joy to everyone ever since. He's smart, loves his video games and his pool. Chris and Deneen are doing a superior job as parents. I am proud of them and of CJ. CJ's best friend now is "PETE". He is a beautful golden retreiver and a huge dog (Pete is another story). CJ is doing well in school and is a very bright little boy. I wish I could be a bigger part of his life, but I seldom see him anymore because of my age and general health. The OLD GRAY MARE SHE AIN'T WHAT SHE USED TO BE! He is one handsome boy, AND I LOVE HIM!!! He has just started bowling on Saturdays (January 2006). He seems to enjoy it. He did not care for baseball too much. Chris worked with him for two years, but CJ just didn't seem to like it at all. In his first baseball game, he drank so much soda that he had to leave the game three times to go to the bathroom (after standing on one leg for half the game). The rest of the time, he just kicked at the dirt and threw rocks, a sure sign of disinterest. SO, on to other sports. He is really a good kid. When he was three, I couldn't understand one word he said. His parents put him in the RADIX School for special help (preschool). The following month when I went down to see him, I couldn't believe how much his speech had inproved. It was amazing what this schooling did to help him. WHAT A SMART MOVE! Today he has lots of friends but he still seems to enjoy being by himself just as much as when there are other kids around. He's well behaved and has beautiful manners. A REAL JOY! I've just finished looking at one of his photo albums. It seems like only yesterday that he was THAT small. Editor's Note: This story is still in progress.
