Thisbe

Keturah Archila (Chief Healer)

Born in the village of Pherae, Thisbe's mother died shortly after giving birth. Before passing on, she begged Dysis, the village healer, to care for her daughter. Dysis kept her word and raised Thisbe as her own, teaching her the healing arts so that she could one day take her place.

Sometime after her eighteenth summer, the village was attacked by a warlord named Calix. Thisbe traded her freedom for Dysis’ life that day, offering herself in trade for the safety of the village.

Less than two moons after her enslavement, she overheard that Calix had sent one of his men back to torch the village. Her sacrifice had been in vain!

After some planning, Thisbe managed to escape Calix and his band. As a child, Thisbe had heard rumors of the Amazons of Themiscrya, so when she ran away she sought refuge with the warrior women. She found them by following rumor and trade routes. After relating her story, they accepted her as one of their own and trained her in the ways of the Amazons.

Thisbe is now nineteen summers old. She’s 5’9 with brown eyes and dark hair. Her preferred weapon is the staff. She can most often be found at the healer’s hut caring for her sisters.

Thisbe's totem is the lion. She has a pet ferret named Mischief. She can speak Latin and Greek.
