Vagrant Across America Tour
Reviewed by: The Cluck
Stepping out of the 6 train and on to the platform sent an adrenaline rush throughout my body as I thought about seeing Hot Rod Circuit, The Anniversary, Dashboard Confessional and of course Saves the Day. This would only be the 4th concert I attended my whole life. My friends and I walked down Irving Place and I felt at ease when I saw other kids. I walked to the end of the line where I pulled out my quick snap disposable camera and gave out my Unwritten Law stickers. After waiting a couple of hours, they finally opened up the gates where I immediately ran to the stand to buy a Saves The Day T-shirt. All the bands were great, but Saves theDay was fantastic! They sounded exactly how they sound on CD. Besides the music, the emotion and energy on stage was also great. The stage performace made me feel like the band members were there to have a good time, | just like I was. I never danced at a concert like I danced at this one. I was squished in the crowd being pushed around, I was never closer to a stage before either. The crowd knew every word that singer sang. There were even some kids stage diving. The band played a whole bunch of songs from their new CD entitled "Stay what you are" as well as songs from their acoustic CD which were played electric in concert. After all the dancing, jumping and singing, Saves the Day's set ended and the band went into the back. The crowd insisted that they played one more song, and they played 2 more!! Even better! I ran up to the balcony and met the bassist Evan. A lot of bands thank their fans, but aren't appreciative to them backstage. All of the bands were so cool. They listened to you when you talked and had a converstation with you, took pictures, it was a blast. |
