"Rancid 2000"; Rancid

It's was said that Rancid had gone soft after the 1998 album "LIFE WON'T WAIT," and that they where "selling out".  This happened even though they where still on their long time label, Epitaph and had told all the big labels to kiss their ass 3 years before. Nonetheless, Rancid returned in 2000 with "RANCID" a self titled hard core to the bone album that is faster and harder than anything done before it.   In Rancid (2000) Rancid killed their naysayers with trash can production and the best bass lines this side of les.
On Rancid 2000, Rancid has found a voice all their own and have released some very pist off energy.  I still wish for the more diverse ... and out come the wolves (we all do) or the beauty of songs like "corazon DE oro," but Rancid (2000) is an  album all it's own.  Long live punk and long live Rancid!
