AFI "The Art of Drowning" |
Review By: Johnny Quest Date: 7/12/01 |
Never have I been so impressed through the first listen of an album as I was with this one. AFI's latest release "The Art of Drowning" has "masterpiece" written all over it. From the opening track to the hidden track, this CD takes you by the balls and holds you there till it says you can go. The erie guitars and powerful melodic styling of Davey Havok are unmatched, and cannot be duplicated. AFI have a style all their own | and can be appreciated by punks, goths, hardcore kids, and even emo kids all the same. Whether it's a pulse pounding fast song or a slow melodic one, you just can't listen and not be one bit impressed. If you don't have this album go get it and you will know exactly what I'm talking about... If you don't wanna take my advice... well then you're missing out. |
