Saves The Day "Stay What You Are" |
Review By: The Cluck Date: 7/30/01 |
For the past few months, a good friend of mine kept asking
me, "Have you ever heard Saves The Day?" After hearing that fifty times and
hearing some songs on a few compilations, I decided to hear their CD. Through Being Cool
was really good as well as the acoustic CD. But the moment I heard Stay What You Are, I
knew it was my favorite. The harmony guitars and powerful words and melodies make this CD, in my opinion, the best one yet. Chris has a very unique voice which compliments the catchy rythmes |
and give the band their sound. However, I have one big criticism of this CD. Despite the melodies, this CD lacks major vocal harmony. The little-to-no harmony used was monotone and boring [ no offense guys]. But I still think everything else makes up for it. Now, as if I couldnt like them anymore, I seen them in concert on the Vagrant Across America Tour. Their performance was spectacular and they are now one of my favorite bands. So Saves The Day, lets hope you stay what you are. |
