Mission Statement
Homewood Montessori School will remain a peaceful educational setting that practices the Montessori Philosophy.  In addition, the prepared learning environment under the guidance of the teacher, will continue to foster self-directed learning, creative thinking, and a joy of learning through respect for self and others.  Through cooperative learning, selective tasks will be completed in multi-age classrooms and individual academic potential challenged.
Vision Statement
our vision as a school, is to perpetuate the Montessori philosophy in a peaceful educational environment.  it will be obvious to outside observers that we see each student as an individual with different talents.  Our response to the uniqueness of each student will include our teachers nurturing, guiding and implementing varied creative instructional methods such as
whole group instructions
small group instructions
one on one instructions
independent studying
ability skills instruction
visitors to our school will notice that whatever the child's ability level, creative and holistic learning will challenge, guide and facilitate the best approach for his/her academic progress.
