PTO News February 2001 IMPORTANT REMINDER Now is the time to HONOR A FAVORITE TEACHER! Parents, teachers and students can say a big thanks to an outstanding teacher at Homewood Montessori by nominating them for THE TEACHER EXCELLENCE FOUNDATION'S TEACHER EXCELLENCE AWARD. The more nominations a teacher gets, the greater the chances of them winning! It is preferred that forms be submitted on-line at www.tefawards.com.  Paper forms for mailing in are available in the school office (in the PTO Box). The deadline is Feb. 15th Annual Pledge Drive Letters and Commitment Forms and New Parent Handbooks were sent out in December.  Didn't get one?  Questions?  Please a message for any of the Executive Board Members in the PTO box in the school office. Call Lesa Rosemond at 241-3092 with questions or if you want to help and can't make it to the meeting. Plans are in the works for a School Newsletter there are always wonderful things going on in the classrooms at Homewood Montessori.  In order to get the word out about them, Barb Jackson has volunteered to coordinate a school newsletter.  If you can help out with writing, interviewing staff and children, taking photos, copying or collating, please give Barb a call at 488-4380. We now have Room Parents for all of the classrooms and for the Art, Music, Library and Gym Teachers.  If you want to help out in the classrooms or have questions or suggestions for the PTO Room Parents, call Patti Katsos (Volunteer Coordinator) at 371-5025 for Room Parent names and phone numbers.
