Formed in january 2001 in Montreal, Qc. CANADA.

Offering a mixture of traditionnal rock, 70's punk rock and rockabilly, The Shifters were able to revive the rock'n roll scene with an attitude and a unique hard sound.

During the last ten years, the members of The Shifters played in several bands of the MTL local scene : Union Made (ex-Voïvod), The Unkempts, Cartoon, The Lugosi's Friends, Blazing Chain of Love, Orgo 51, Misery Love Inc. and many more ...
For the year 2001, The Shifters made little effort advertising themselves: PLAY ! PLAY !
This "opening act" rapidly forged a solid reputation. Provided with a strong team, The Shifters promises for 2002 a sustained presence towards the medias.
Backed by the CD "The Car Tune Years EP", The Shifters are working at the release of a full-lenght album in march 2002.
In september 2002, former guitarist Nick A. (aka Nick Shifter) left the band to join the glam punk band The Evilboys From Hell.
