From Smash Hits June `98
A useful Italian phrase for each of the following situations:
* When you're sitting in the sunshine... "Excuse me, fella, your Cornetto is dripping on my leg!" "Scusa, amico, ma il tuo Cornetto sta cadendo sulla mia gamba!"
* When you're visiting Venice... "Help, help, my gondola has a leak!" "Aiuto, aiuto, la mia gondola ha un buco!"
* When you've popped over to Pisa... "That tower's falling over!" "La torre sia cascandoooooooooooo!"
* When you're relaxing at a restaurant... "Does the lasagne come with chips?" "Le lasagne vengono con le patatine?"
* Our mate Kavana is over in Italy. What common phrase should he know? "Spaghetti, pizza, mandolino... Mario, sono eccezionali!" This means: "The spaghetti, the pizza, the guitar- playing... Mario, they are wonderful!" Apparently.
Grazia, Alexia! Ciao! |
