Mad for music reviews
The real thing A so-so start to the album. The music reminds me of The Source ft Candi Station's "You got the love" at times, although at times it also seems a little weak with the lyrics and chorus seeming a bit bland. Still it's a nice song. 6/10

Money honey
This song sounds like the old Alexia style. Bright, breezy and fun. Howvere there is a fine line between the chorus being catchy and irritatingly catchy in an annoying way. It would probably be a good idea not to release this in the UK or it would be classed as a novelty song due to the "I want your money honey lyrics". 8/10

Summerlovers
Another summery bright and breezy song, although this is a little slower in tempo. The guitar and theme of the song is quite nice but the vocal effects and "do dum wop do bop" bits do spoil it a little. 7/10

In the name of love
Another pop song, but unfortunately this isn't a stand out track and to me just comes across as extremely bland. More of a filler than anything elset. 5/10

The one for me
This track sees Alexia try to do a bit of R'n'B, but sadly fails and like the previous track, just seems to be bland and a filler. 5/10

Sometimes
This song see's Alexia go back to her dance roots without sounding like an "old style" Alexia song. The song is a catchy 70's disco style song, and for once I actually liked the vocal effects that have been put in.. 8/10

Little sister
It's nice to hear Alexia sing a song that's not plainly about love, and whilst this is a fairly catchy and nice song, it too falls into the bland catagory. And once again, I am left wishing Alexia hadn't put them vocal effects in. 6/10

L
ucky in love This one is a semi lite-garage tune, and just mnages not to be bland. The verse lyrics at time have credibility, but at other times just seem silly. 6.5/10

It's not the end
Quite a different song to Alexia's previous efforts, with the music sounding like that of "The real thing" although a little stronger The chorus is "warm" but at times your left wondering why a song like this wasn't left until the end of the album 9/10

Whenever you want me
This is why "It's not the end" wasn't the last song on the album! The space was reserved for this song! Save the best until last! This is a very summery and uplifting song with an extremely bright chorus, with guitars in all the right places. This is a must-release for a single. 9/10

Ti amo ti amo Now I know this isn't on Mad for music, but I may as well put it here, 'cos there's no point in doing a page for "The hits" when this is the only new song. As for the song itself, it really is the worst Alexia single ever released and comes across as a sad end to Alexia and Robyx's partnership. To me this is a really tacky attempt to re-create "Uh la la la", and truthfully speaking, it's just awful. Sorry. 3.5/10

The album on the whole:

It's a tough one to call. Whilst none of the tracks are "bad", quite a few of them come off as bland, and with this being a fairly short album track wise, a few songs becomes nearly half the album. The pop songs are more polished than Alexia's previous pop songs done with Robyx, and it's nice to see that there isn't a song here that is another "Uh la la la wannabe". The album is once again lacking in dance music, but I suppose that's understandable considering Alexia wants to stop doing dance music. A big ballad also seems to be missing from this album. One the whole, Alexia's new sound is more maturer, and hopefully with time will escape the "blandness" that has evaded some of the tracks here.
