“You will soon see me put to the test in a project that for me is like a dream come true. I realised more recently that the moment had arrived to express an important part of my soul and I shall be doing this with a beautiful new song. This change will not lead me to the status that I am today, but will help me be known under a different aspect. Many have told me that I should render myself in more of a melodic style, that can let my singing voice be heard, others believe that it is important that I continue doing pop/ dance music: I believe in both of them (without false modesty). Following this statement, fans are guessing that Alexia’s new single will be “Giddy up”, “Close to you” or, more likely “Te amo” or “Save a prayer”.
DWA denies that “Baby baby baby” will be released as the next single from “Happy”, despite claims from Sony Music Finland that it would be the next single. This doesn’t mean that it won’t be released in Finland, as Sony Music Finland may do what they did with “Virtual reality”.
The Alice Deejay remix is revealed to be officially called:
“Alice Deejay Vs Alexia- Life with me and you (DJ Dk extended mix)”
The song is an instrumental version of Alice Deejay’s “Back in my life” with the vocals to Alexia’s “Me and you” put over it. Apart from a 2-minute MP3 clip on this site, the only other place on the internet with this song are FTP sites.
INCredible finally break their silence over Alexia’s UK releases. They say “All Alexia releases have been put on hold until further notice”. They said that when new details emerge, they would announce it on their site.
Alexia was planned to participate in this years Sanremo Festival in Italy, news of this even appears in the newspapers, but Alexia had to pull out of it for unknown reasons.
DWA made a short statement on one of Alexia’s radio concerts in Italy, they said:
“Something that we would like to talk to you about was Alexia’s concert on national radio station RADIO RAI 2- Monday 7th February.
This particular concert was special for many reasons; the hall where the concert was held is seen as one of the most prestigious in Italy and for the first time a special gathering was organised for fans all over Italy.
It was a great success! Infact we’re hoping to plan more gatherings in the future.
If there are any other meetings, you’ll be the first to know!”
The concert was repeated on Saturday 12th February.
“Happy” (the album) was released in Canada on February 15th through Sony Music Canada.
