“Gimme love” is released in more European countries. Alexia arrives in Australia to promote “Uh la la la”. Like the UK, the Australian radio version of “Uh la la la” is the almighty edit. “Uh la la la” was released in Australia on 25/5/98 and reached number 15 in the official Australian charts. Alexia also arrives in the UK to promote “Gimme love”, her second UK single. A lot of confusion has arisen over her second UK single. It has been revealed that like “Uh la la la”; the UK radio version will be a remix by Lewis Dane and Paul Moessl under the guise of “Pump friction Vs Precious Paul”. However, certain TV shows have been showing a video of “Gimme love” where the club short edit mix has been dubbed over the original European song. Finally it was revealed that the Pump friction mix is the UK radio version and a “new” video where the original video is used once again (with the pump friction mix dubbed over it) arises. “Gimme love” was set to be released on 25/5/98, the same day as the Australian release date of “Uh la la la”, but was delayed a week in order for Alexia to promote the single more. Meanwhile, the rest of Europe is awaiting the release of Alexia’s second album “The Party”. |
