DWA have told me that the next single from Alexia's latest album "Happy" is actually the title track "Happy". The release date is the 29th October. "Happy" is also set to be released in Brazil and is receiving good radio play over there.
Meanwhile, Alexia will be appearing in a lot of Italian magazines promoting "Happy". You can catch her in this months "Trend Discotec", "TV Stelle", "Top girl" and "Mix" and you might still be able to get last months issues of "Kiss me", "Tutto", "TV Sorrise Canzoni" and "Magazie Disc" which also featured Alexia.
Gold disc for Alexia in Italy:
"I am thrilled to bits with the positive reaction towards my new album "HAPPY". In Italy, I have already received a gold disc and to be quite honest, I really didn't expect to reach this height within such a short time. I know it may sound exaggerated or rhetoric but each time is like the first although the difference this time is that I have more to lose. To stay on top is harder than getting there in the first place, even if, from my own personal experience, it's been the other way round, so I'm really very happy with how things are going.
Naturally success carries many sacrifices. Lately I've had to be interviewed by many Italian and foreign newspapers and magazines, including two important interviews with two well known Finnish newspapers...and there's still more to come! I hope that my professional image can one day become even more popular than it already is and that people can get to know the real Alexia a little better, not only as an artist, but as a person too!"
UK release date for "Goodbye" is delayed:
The UK release date for "Goodbye" has now been put back to the 1st November, due to high chart competition. Alexia got two "Worst single of the month" reviews in Top of the pops magazine and TV Hits. However, Alexia did get a great review from Mixology, getting five out of five. Alexia also went top five in the club charts with "Goodbye" mainly thanks to the Sharp boys club mix and the MAS dub.
Alexia revealed that while she was in the UK, she went clubbing at London's new superclub "home".
* Alexia revealed to me that she no longer lives in her birthplace of La Spezia.
* Alexia will visit Finland for a promotional tour in mid November. Among her performances there will be a charity concert for UNICEF. The release date of "Happy" over there is delayed to October 25th (and will be delayed once again).
* The CD of "Goodbye" was released in Australia on October 4th, about a month after the vinyl version was released over there.
