INCredible, Alexia's UK management have announced a UK release date for "Goodbye". The scheduled release date is October 18th but this is subject to change (and believe me it did change, by about 3 months). This is also likely to be the Irish release date for "Goodbye". Alexia will be in the UK in late September/ early October to promote "Goodbye" and her new album "Happy". "Goodbye" will be released in the UK and Ireland on 2 CD's and cassette.
Not long after Alexia arrived in the UK, INCredible began to hand out promo's to DJ's and clubs.
In mid- September, rumours are starting to circulate that "Goodbye" will be released in the UK on October 25th rather than the scheduled release date of October 18th.
Sony music Greece released a few copies of "Goodbye" in Greece to see how well they sold. In days all the copies were snapped up, and "Goodbye" entered the top 10 Greek radio play charts.
"Goodbye" was released in The Netherlands on the 6th September, and the vinyl version of "Goodbye" was released in Australia on September 13th with the CD being released later.
A new remix version of "Goodbye" was released in Italy on 24th September on vinyl. This release contained new mixes by DJ Dado (under the guise Sals8) as well as a new MAS mix and the fat lady bump edit.
"Happy" news
Sony music Finland announces a Finnish release date for "Happy". The scheduled release date is the 27th of September. This is also the same day that it will be released in The Netherlands. DWA have said that "Happy" will be released in the rest of Europe in October and Alexia has told me that it will be released in the UK in late October after "Goodbye" has been released.
"Happy" was released in Spain on the 13th September, in Austria on the 5th and in late August in Switzerland.
* DWA have announced that they are planning a video compilation of Alexia's music videos. They say that nothing has been confirmed yet but a video project is being lined up. DWA have denied that Alexia will be releasing a book.
* Alexia will be in this month's "Cioe" magazine and will be on "Super" on Italia 1 on the 26th September.
