I purchased my first Mustang, a black 1997 GT, on August 12, 2000 in Hicksville, Ohio. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. It only had 3,400 miles on it and it was in perfect condition. I had always been a Ford fan and my father owned a number of Stangs in his youth and that helps compel me to carry on the tradition, I suppose. This summer was the first car show I had ever entered and I placed third in the 1994 to 1998 Mustang class. One of the best things about owning a Mustang has been, for me, becoming friends with several other Mustangers in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cruising, racing and hanging out has become a favorite weekend activity. Oh yeah, two words: DRAG STRIP!!
