Part 5 - The Conclusion
More than a Feeling
Katie stared out her hotel window. It was the night before the last day of the video shoot. In the past few days since their argument, she and Justin had spoke as few words to each other as possible. Katie kept forcing herself to belive that when it was all over everything was going to be fine. But she knew that as soon as he was gone she wasnt going to be able to take it. But what was she going to do? Change her mind completly with one day left?
The Next day, Katie walked onto the set, afraid of what the day was going to hold for her. Then she heard laughing..a little boy laughing.
"Jonathannnnn...the tickle monsters gonna get you!"
"Noooooooo!" The little blond boy said laughing as he ran up to Katie with Justin right behind him.
"Hey come back here.."Justin said picking the little boy up and then he looked up and saw her standing in front of them.
"Hi there Jonathan remember me?" Katie said.
"You remember Katie dont you Jonathan?"Justin said
"Ummmmm...." Jonathan said
"Remember she came and ate Christmas dinner with us at Grandma's?" Justin said
"Bracelet!" The little boy said.
"Yeah I got her a bracelet..." Justin said.
"How come you not wearin it?" Jonathan asked Katie
"Ummm...well.." Katie said glancing up at Justin who was staring right at her.
"She probably just left it at home buddy..lets go find daddy ok?" Justin said walking off.
"Ok..Bye bye Katie!!"
Jonathan said waving his hand
"Bye!"
"His dad came by to see him."
"Huh?" Katie said turning around and seeing Chris behind her.
"Justin's dad. He came down from Memphis and brought Jonathan to see him while we were here." He said
"Oh" Katie said slowly making her way to her dressing room.
"Katie are you gonna be ok..I mean with the shoot today and all?"
"Yeah..yeah Im gonna be fine Chris."
"You know he cares about you."
"Chris.."
"And he doesnt want you to give up everything you have for him its just he wants you with him so much."
"But Chris If I didnt have this job as a DJ.."
"Katie..how did you get that job?"
"Huh?"
"How did you get it? I mean morning DJ's..thats a pretty tough position to fill..."
"Well the other morning DJ left and.."
"Why did they leave?"
"Umm..They moved."
"And I bet they got another job as a DJ am I right?"
"Right." Katie said. "Ok ok I get it Dr. Kirkpatrick. But still I dont know."
"Just think about it Katie..at least..Ok?"
"Ill try."
Later on..
"Ok places everyone! This is the final scene lets make it count!" Nigel yelled as the music started playing in the background. Katie walked up to Justin to do the scene. She still didnt know what she was going to do. She wanted to take Chris' advice and just go with him but by the way Justin had been acting she wasnt sure if he still wanted her to or not. She couldnt tell if he just didnt want to be around her or if it just hurt him so bad that he couldnt stand to be.
'ACTION!"
Justin leaned over to kiss her but suddenly Katie turned away and started to leave the building.
"Katie?" Nigel said
"I..Im sorry..guys I cant do it.. Im sorry." she said running out the door. Justin stood there in the same spot unable to move. Everything was quiet.
"Justin youre not gonna let her leave are you?" Chris asked him. Justin wouldnt say a word.
"Justin?!?"
Katie got in her car and put the key in the ignition, but she couldnt start the car. She leaned her head over on the steering wheel and cried. 'I want to go with him now and he doesnt want me to.' she thought to herself. 'What have I done? I just walked out on all those people that have worked so hard for this video..but I cant go back in there..I need to just leave..No no..I cant leave....'
"UGh Ive had it!!" she said banging her head down on the steering wheel. Then she looked up and saw Justin walking to the car.
"Katie if you dont want to do the video Its fine. I explained it to Nigel..he can fix it Its ok. But, I cant let you walk out on me like this again! I cant do it anymore. If you want to stay here thats fine. We can work it out somehow..I dont know HOW but we will I guess.."Justin said, pausing for a minute. "But I really wish you would reconsider moving to Florida with me And Im sorry about being such a jerk the past few days and Im sorry about being jealous of Jordan, that was just stupid. But umm...anyway. Im gonna go back in here because they need me to do another shoot I guess and you can call me if you want and we'll work something out or..we can just end like this."He said as he turned around and walked off. Not wanting her to see him crying. Katie sat in her car and watched him walk back into the building.
Justin walked inside and everyone was afraid to ask what happened. They could tell by his expression that it wasnt good.
"Justin?" Chris said
"Chris I just dont wanna talk about it.."
"Im sorry man.."
"No I know, Youre just trying to help its ok." Justin said as Chris hugged him.
"Umm *cough* lets just keep that between us 'k?" Chris said looking around.
"Ok" Justin said smiling a little.
Then the door opened and Katie came back in. Her expression still hadnt changed much. She saw Justin and walked over to him.
"Im gonna just umm..go over here..yeah ok.."Chris said.
"Well.."Katie said
"Well?"
"Ive thought about it.."
"And?"
Katie looked over at Nigel still sitting at his camera. "Nigel you can start taping now."
"Oh..your talking about finishing the video.." Justin said
"Nope!" Katie said smiling at him and kissed him
"Cut!" Nigel said. "That was amazing you two!"
"Uhh guys?" Chris said as Katie and Justin kept kissing.."Uh he said Cut..you know...as in you can stop now? Ok somebody needs to go get them some oxygen tanks."
"Do you have room for me in Orlando?" Katie said
"Yeah!" Justin said laughing. "Umm well wait..Chris when are you movin out?"
"WHAT?" Chris yelled
"Ah we'll figure something out."Justin said kissing her again.
"Geez at that rate I dont know why she's gonna need another room." Chris said
"Chris stop pulling at it!!" Jc said
"But its choking me!" Chris said
"Well if you would leave it alone it wouldnt." Joey said
"He dont even have it on right..here let me fix it" Lance said.
"Well excuse ME Mr. Attache club" Chris said
"Would you look at all the baby blue??" JC said "Baby blue flowers ..baby blue candles..geez!"
"What do you expect from Justin?" Lance said.
"Ok guys I think its time to start." Joey said
"Joey are you excited? You finally get to lead!!" Chris said
"Yeah but Its gonna be weird not singing with Justin." Joey said.
"Hey do we still do the hand motions?..or not." Lance asked.
"No!" the others said in unison
"Geez Albino boy! get with it."Chris said.
"Shuddup!" Lance said.
"Ok guys get ready..1-2-3-.." JC said
Joey: "Can this be true tell me can this be real how can I put into words what I feel, My life was complete I thought I was whole, why do I feel like Im losing control,...Never thought that love could feel like this. Then you changed my world with just one kiss..How can it be that right here with me theres and angel. Its a miracle.."
"Oh man he looks like he's gonna puke!" JC whispered to Chris
"We are taping this arent we?" Chris said laughing.
"Look guys there she is." Lance said
Katie walked down the aisle, surrounded by her friends and family and joined an extremely nervous Justin at the altar...Finally she was making the right decision.
