Chapter 13
"Dani stop picking at it!"
"But it hurts!!"
"Because youre picking at it..now stop!" Lyssa said while smacking Dani's hand. It was the day of the concert and the girls were getting ready. They had went and got thier belly buttons pierced the day before.
"Do you think its infected?"
"Daniii.."
"But you arent complaining about your's hurting Lyss..I think its infected..."
"IT IS NOT! You're just a wimp."
"I am not."
"Yes you are."
"Ok I am." Dani said as she adjusted her red baseball cap on her head. She and Lyssa had on matching outfits that were just like what the Bizkettes wore in the video.
"Ok there's Justin and Joey..c'mon Dan.." Alyssa said as Dani kept staring in the mirror while fidgeting with her clothes.
"Dani come on!!"
"Ok Ok stop yelling..remember who's driving?"
"Awww dude..you sure you dont want Justin to drive? Look at that Benz!"
"Lyss...Lyss? Ok come on." Dani said while pulling Alyssa away from the window.
"Wipe the drool off your face girl!"
"Whoa! The Bizkettes!" Joey said with his face lighting up as the girls walked outside.
"Hey Red."
"Hey Baby..sup?"
Justin rolled his eyes at Joey and Alyssa and walked over to Dani. He looked down and saw something shiny on her stomach.
"Is that a..."
"Yes."
"Is it real?" he said leaning his head closer.
"Dont touch it!"
"Im not!" Justin said laughing. "Wow you've changed.
"I have?"
"Yeah body piercings..Limp Bizkit concerts...You're like a totally diffrent person."
"Guess that makes two of us."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing Justin. Ok guys come on" She called out to Joey and Alyssa. "Don't wanna be late."
Justin got in the passenger side, still confused by Dani's remark, but he decided to just let it go. He didnt want to spend the day arguing over useless little things.
"Can I drive?" Justin said smiling and reached for the keys.
"I dont THINK so!" Dani said jerking the keys away.
"Awww...please? I'll let you drive my Benz."
"Do it Dani Do it!!!" Alyssa said from the back seat.
"No..Nobody drives the Stang but me, got it pretty boy?"
"Heh..Pretty boy, good one Dani."
"Thank you Joey."
"One point for the Danigirl!"
"Oh we're taking points now?" Justin asked
"Yeah man and you're losing." Joey said laughing.
" Tell me something I dont know." Justin thought to himself as they pulled out of the driveway and headed to the concert.
"You dont think you all will get mobbed here do you?"
Joey laughed. "No Lyss...I dont think there will be many Nsync fans here."
"Oh I meant by all the Limp fans that hate ya." Lyssa said as Joey got a worried look on his face.
"Kidding Red..Kidding!"
"Oh I knew that."
"Aww man this is gonna be so cool!" Justin said as they found thier seats.
"Thanks for inviting me along Dani."
"Youre welcome Justin."
"Hey umm...You know that outfit looks really nice on..."
"Have you heard from Ellie?" Dani said interrupting him.
"Who?"
"Ellie."
"Oh! I..thought you said somebody else..or something..What did you say?"
"Have you heard from her since she left?"
"Oh umm..yeah she called when she got off the plane."
"That's good." Dani said trying her best to keep from laughing. "Oh yeah..Thats true love allright!" she thought to herself.
The concert started and everyone started really getting into it. They were right in the middle of all the moshing, But Dani was laughing so hard at Justin jumping around and headbanging to even care that she could barely stand up. Sweet little innocent Justin Timberlake screaming out all the lyrics to "Nookie" was just too much!
"Oh my dear God, I cannot hear!"
"I cant walk, I think somebody had on boots in that mosh pit!"
"Awww come SuperJoey..You'll be allright." Alyssa said while putting her arm around him as they all walked back to the car.
"Where did I park?"
"HUH??" Justin yelled.
"Oh there it is."
"WHAT??"
"Justin!!"
"WHAT???"
"He's acting." Joey said
"HUH???"
"I said UNC SUCKS!!" Dani yelled out.
"Oh its on now girl!" Justin said as he chased her to the car. Dani started screaming as he caught up with her, wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up.
"NOOO Justin LEMME GO!"
"Say you're sorry!"
"Ummmm..."
"Say It!!"
"It."
"DANI??" he said tightening his grip.
"Yes???"
"Say you're SORRY!"
"You're sorry?"
"Nooo..say YOU'RE sorry!"
"I DID!"
Justin sighed and layed his forehead down on her shoulder and started laughing. "I give up!"
"Ok then..UNC don't suck."
"Thats right!" he said as he walked around to the passenger side of the car. They all got in and started to head on home.
"Oh Great!"
"What?"
"Its starting to rain." Dani said while turning on her windshield wipers. "I hate driving in the rain."
"Want me to drive?" Justin asked
"NO!"
"Ok ok ok.." He said laughing, then his cell phone started ringing.
"Hello?...Oh..hey, hey babe."
Dani felt a slight kick from the backseat by Alyssa, she looked in the rearview and rolled her eyes.
"Yeah me and Joey went to see Limp tonight. Uh-huh, Yeah it was great!....Oh..just some friends...." Dani cleared her throat but continued to concentrate on the road. She could hear the uneasiness in Justin's voice as he talked to Ellie.
"Okay..Hey are you still coming down during Christmas? But...you're not touring then?..Why do you have to..oh ok...No no its allright I understand. Oh. Allright then talk to ya later, Love you, Bye."
"Something wrong?" Dani asked him as he slowly put his cell phone back in his pocket.
"Huh? Oh no...everythings fine."
"So..when did you all get together?"
"Me and Ellie?"
"No you and the rest of Nsync..." Dani said sarcastically.
"Cute."Justin said faintly smiling as he stared at continuously at the dashboard. "Well we met her about a week after you left so...a couple weeks after you left I guess?"
"A couple WEEKS?" Dani exclaimed while taking her eyes off the road.
"ROAD Dani!" Alyssa said from the backseat.
"Sorry."
"yeah." Justin replied quietly.
Dani couldnt believe what she was hearing. A couple WEEKS??? A couple weeks after she left SHE was still crying herself to sleep at night! She felt herself start to get sick. Her vision was getting blurred, and that mixed with the rain was making it extremly difficult to drive.
"I guess it didnt mean much to you after all." she said quietly.
"What? No Dani..No you know how I felt about..."
"NO I DIDNT! You never told me!" Dani cried. Joey and Alyssa, who had been talking quietly to each other in the backseat, suddenly stopped and realized what was going on.
"Dani..calm down..I wanted to but.."
"But what Justin???"
"I.."
"DANI LOOK OUT!!!!"
