The last sublight deep space vessel commissioned, this vehicle grossed 20,000 metric tonnes and could operate independently for up to three Terran years without replenishment. Equipped with a phased plasma drive engine and fusion reactors, the MineCorp Engineer was constructed for the Terran Space Traffic Control by MineCorp in 2123 CE. The MineCorp Engineer was the last of a proud class of ships that first served humanity as it left its ancestral cradle of Terra. Before being surpassed by the supraluminal Hermes class, the MineCorp Engineer and her predecessors servered for half a century in the Terran system. Believed decommissioned in 2175 CE in the shipyards of Titan, portions of her hull have recently been recovered by astroarchaologists near Neptune. |
