Home - Where's Tigger Now? - November/December 2002 |
Instead of boat stuff it was book stuff - that was our mission this month. Keeping to a schedule was something we thought we had left behind years ago, and here we were, on a schedule. The Seven Seas Cruising Association annual meeting and then several yacht club talks in Florida would take up most of the month of November. About 1000 people attended the SSCA gathering and I moderated a panel discussion, Cruising as a Couple. Over 400 attended the session and we all laughed our way through a glimpse of the life of a cruising couple. I
long ago came to realize that Dave and I are nomads, whether in Tigger
or not. Our small RV provides us the chance to travel on land and take
our home with us. That is just what Tigger does for us on the water. Of
course, the wind is free, but the gasoline to feed the RV is not. And
while the anchorages for Tigger are often free, the nightly parking for
the RV is hardly ever free. But we move faster; Texas beckons to us with
grandchildren, children and holiday festivities for December.
