A mother asked a question, rather hesitant and low
Should I send Tim to the meetings? He doesn't want to go.
Don't want to be a mother who's the dictatorial kind
Perhaps I 'll wait till later on when he makes up his own mind.

It is a big important step...religion is your life
When older he can choose his kind like he will select a wife.
So do you think it's wrong of me to force my little Tim?
To go to the Kingdom Hall...or should I leave it up to him?

The answer lies in other problems; has this been the rule?
When he was six, did you wait until he asked to go to school?
He come home muddy with the dirtiest face you've ever seen,
But do you wait till he's of age before you have him clean?

One day he's sick with a cough and cold, high temperature and a chill,
But do you wait till he's a man to take the doctor's pill
Suppose he is a naughty boy...done things you don't allow
Will you correct him when he's grown...or do you spank him now?

When then must you be timid with the spiritual growth of Tim?
Announce: Your house, all go to the meetings...including him.
You have protected Timmy's health with each innoculation.
YOu have arranged to cultivate his mind with education
When passing years impair his health and his keen mind has waned.

Remember that the precious soul of your son will live again.
To have his soul fed at the meetings where Jesus Christ is taught
To study...show himself approved...a workman not ashamed.
Determine now your boy will go to the meetings today
That he may come to know Jehovah and learn to walk his way.
