Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful
or proud or rude.
Love does not demand its own way.
Love is not irritable,
and it keeps no record
of when it has been wronged.
It is never glad about injustice
but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up,
never loses faith,
is always hopeful,
and endures through every circumstance.

I Corinthians 13:4-7

RECIPE FOR ONE,
FULL MATURE CHRISTIAN WEEK

Take a firm, luscius, full-grown week, see that it is
thoroughly free from memories of old world bitterness
and jealousy. Separate completely all particles of spite
and selfishness. Pick off the little specks
of pettiness, have it just as fresh and clean
as when it first came from
the eternal storehouse of time.

Cut this week into seven parts, each equal.
These parts will keep only one week.
Do not attempt to prepare the whole bunch
at one time, many people spoil the entire batch that way.

Mix one day at a time as follows:

One portion study
One portion service
One portion prayer

Each should be in liberal portions.

Then mix in five parts of faith, patience and hope.
Add to this one heaping teasoon of Jehovah's Spirit,
a dash of fun and a sprinkle of play.

Pour into the whole portion a liberal amount
of love and happiness.

Mix with joy, cook until bubbling with theocratic zeal.

Serve with quietness, unselfishness and Christian courage.

All who follow this recipe are guaranteed a full,
mature week spent wisely walking
in their integrity toward Jehovah.
