Summary: When you are surprised.
Author's note: Written in the middle of a class because I was supposed to be
paying attention; and in second person.
He surprises you by standing there, in middle of the pool house when you turn around.
You don't know what to do.
He crosses the room, coming to stand by the side of the bed, right before you.
He takes another step. He's too close for you comfort, but you let him.
He leans forward, his face close to yours, and you can feel his breath against your lips. You shudder.
He closes in. You're short of breath.
You feel scared, petrified, because you know this is the moment when everything changes, this is the point of no return.
You don't know if you want it, but you know you can't change fate, destiny, and everything around you that shifted for this to happen.
You fear his reaction, and yours. You fear him.
You don't know what you'll do, or even what you want to do.
He surprises you again when he leans over and kisses you.
You close your eyes, forget everything that surrounds you and enjoy the moment.
You let yourself go even as your hands reach for his shoulders. You feel yourself trembling because you know you don't want the moment to end, and you don't want to let go of him.
He kisses you, slow and tender, and it tastes like honey. It's sweet and it's perfect. You didn't think it'd feel like this.
You don't want to let him go.
You can't.
You couldn't live without him.
When he pulls away, he lingers in your lips and you whimper. You wanted to drown in him.
You think he'll go, you think he'll pretend nothing happened. You know you will too.
He only smiles at you. You don't know what to say, what to ask.
"I don't regret this," Seth whispers, staring at you, waiting for your response. "Ryan?"
Your throat is tight and you don't know if you'll be able to speak. "Me neither."
He smiles, tilting his head, and he looks young and innocent at the same time. You love that of him.
You can't do anything but stand there, smiling at him, and lean for another kiss. You love him, and that's enough.
