Blue Crystal Staff When Riverwind asked for the hand of Goldmoon, Goldmoon's father was appalled. Riverwind was an outcast, a believer in the old gods, while Goldmoon was priestess of the tribe and the chieftian's daughter. The chieftian could not just say "no"; he was forced to put Riverwind through several tests to prove himeslf, all of their tests were unfair. Goldmoon's father sent Riverwind what he thought to be an impossible quest. Riverwind was to leave the tribe and return only when he had proof of the old gods. He returned years later with a slender blue staff that he claimed had been given to him by Mishikal herself. He gave the staff to Goldmoon as a show of love. The tribe didn't believe him, for so long they had their own beliefs. Passing judgement without even a thought they tried to have Riverwind stoned to death. Goldmoon steped infront of her husband staff before her, thee staff flared bright blure and teleported them away. The staff itself is slender and made of an unknown blue wood. It is adorned at one end by a blue crystal which glows brightly when its powers are used. The staff may only be used by someone of good intentions, and only then has the abilities to heal, remove curses, and raise the dead. The staff was later the key for Goldmoon to become the first cleric to return to Krynn. And also if staff doesn't want itself to be revealed it could be seem to evil eyes as a plain staff of wood. Disks Of Mishakal When the companions returned to Xak Tsaroth by request of the ForestMaster they found themselves unexpectedly fighting and killing the black dragon Khisanth. Among the dragons horde were these one hundred and sixty some odd disks engraved upon both sides with the teachings of the Gods of Good. Any person with the proper devout attitude who reads these disks may become a cleric of a true god. They found themselves being studied by Elistan who was soon to become the first priest of Paladine back on Krynn. Elistan used the disks to preach the new gods, to literally bring the gods back into the world. Today they are kept in the Temple of Paladine in Palanthas and are studied by the clerics there. Hammer Of Kharas The Hammer of Kharas was a weapon first owned and used by, well Kharas. During a time just before the Dwarfgate Wars Kharas was a trusted friend of the dwarven king. When the king decided the shut the gate against his own kin, the hill dwarves, Kharas shaved his beard to show his shame and later after the death of the king vowed that no dwarf would be king again until they held the Hammer of Kharas in their hands. Since then the hammer has disappeared and there has not once been a true king of Thorbardin. During the war the companions found the hammer and used it to buy sanctuary for the humans they had freed from Pak Tharkas. It is said that the hammer has a mind of its own and if the wishes of the wielder go aginst its own only strength of mind will keep it from gaining control over you. Dragon Orbs Probably Krynn's most famed and rare artifacts. At First Dragon War, all three orders of sorcery came together to work their magic. By morning five DragonOrbs were created, now not one remains. Two were destroyed during the lost wars, one by the kender Tasslehoff, another at the High Clerist Tower, and the last Raistlin Majere had with him when he disappeared. Orbs were only to be used by one of extremely strong will, all others would eventually become slave to the orb; like once King Lorac Caladron who was trying to save his people and Silvanesti but necaming a slave to mighty Cyan Bloodbane. And it started the Lorac's Nightmare ( elves calls the nightmare which killed the great beuty of Silvanesti Forest. The Nightmare was ended by Porithos (Alhana Starbreeze's Qualinesti husband) The orb Lorac once used was given to mage Raistlin Majere after Companions saved the dying elven king with Alhana Starbreeze. And he used the orb; became an ally with Cyan Bloodbane anmd also gave him an amulet to change himself to a human; which wpuld be really usefull to evil dragon. ) Once in control though, the wielder was able to control the evil dragons. They had other magic, alot of magic, but this was what they were created for. Frost Reaver Its not likely that people will have ever seen one of these rare axes, found only in the Icewall region and used only by the Ice Tribes there. When the companions went south in search of the DragonOrb rumured to be there they did ask for the help of the Ice Tribes. Impressed with some of the heroes they were sent with a guide to Icewall Keep and during this trip they had the chance to see the Frostreaver in use. The axe itself is made from a very dense, rare, ice and cannot be brought above the temperature of freezing (for fear of melting). They have only ever been successfully made by the revered clerics of the ice tribes and it is very difficult for them. Only once, before the Cataclysm, did a renegade almost succed in replicating one. WyrmSlayer WyrmSlayer, the blade most dragonkind does fear. It was created ( according to my research ) during the First Dragon War, the elves at this time needing any help they can get. Later when the companions were exploring the Sal-Mori (secret passage) Tanis happened accross what did seem to be an ancient crypt. During a fight with a giant slug Tanis lost his blade and at first not even realizing it the bones of an ancient elf almost seemed to hand him the ancient blade he carried. The crypt holding the remains of the first Qualinesti Speaker, Kith-Kanan. The blade itself does make the wielder resistant to a dragon's breath weapon while both protecting him from the dragon itself and inflicting an unnatural amount of damage on the dragon. This blade saved the companions many a time. Dragonlances Before Dragonlances were found by Gilthanis and Silvara in the War Of The Lance these legendary weapons were thought to be just that, legend. The thing about legends though is that most legends begin with some basis in fact. These are the weapons that won the war for Huma and the knights of old. The resting place of Huma, his lance, and his armor, are a legend that every Solamnic youth hears about once in his life time. The lances themselves, either a 10ft footman's lance or a 16ft mounted lance, were forged from a very rare metal known only as DragonMetal. DragonMetal is only found in one place in Krynn, the lost monument of the Silver Dragon. It takes a blacksmith of unsurpassed skill using both the Hammer Of Kharas and the Silver Arm to be able to properly forge these weapons, though when done properly they inflict huge amounts of damage upon dragons. Lesser dragonlances, those forged without the Hammer of Kharas and the Silver Arm, are still able to inflict huge amounts of damage. True dragonlances though have a power unlike any other weapon. They say when used in combat these lances are able to reflect a dragon's breath weapon (fire, cold, gas, etc...) back upon the dragon. I have heard of dragons being killed in a single blow by a true dragonlance. Dragonlances would be used by only Solamnic Knights( or good people ) ; and evil knights/person can't touch it.( Takhisis Knihgts ) Night Bringer One of the more known weapons in the world, this one being solely of evil intent. Verminaard was young, the dragonarmies were in the beginning of formation, and the Queen needed a general. She was constantly whispering fantasies in the ear of Verminaard trying, successfully, to have him turn to her cause. The mace was given to him by the Queen herself, or so it is said, and had the ability to blind a person upon contact when he muttered the word 'midnight'. The companions had to face this weapon only once, in their raid on Pax Tharkas, and it can be said it was a truely horrifing battle. Verminaard was killed and the mace disppeared, rumored to have been taken by a gully dwarf who lived in Pax Tharkas at the time. It better stay missing.... Silver Arm Of Ergoth Long ago, it was created by a joining of skils from all good races of the time. Dragon, Elf, Human, and Dwarf all worked beside one another to create this arm in hopes it would be used by one to forge the weapons they needed to defeat the evil dragons. The intent was that the Silver Arm would give a blacksmith of high skill the strength and accuracy to be able to forge the DragonMetal into a lance that would be able to kill Dragons easily. Theros Ironfeld was given this arm by Paladine after he lost his own in the attack on Solace. With his new arm Theros began his own quest to forge dragonlances for the knights, its rumored he was able to do so even without the Hammer of Kharas. Staff Of Magius First owned by mage Magius who is Huma's childhood friend, during the Second Dragon War. This staff holds more power and protective magic then most of the artifacts known to exist in this time. It was given to Raistlin Majere after the completion of his test in Wayreth and not even he was able to learn all of its powers. He later gave the staff to his nephew Palin Majere for the same reason, though under some much more interesting circumstances. The staff can best be described as a long, well staff, with a small gold dragons claw cluthing a crystal at the top end. It is known that the staff protects the mage using it from harm, and will cast a spell of light upon command "Shirak", but anything else if known was never recorded. It could be only touched by it's owner. Only if who touches the staff wuold taking it to its owner Staff let itself to be touched.
