Squire James

Once a talented young thief in league with the Mockers, Squire James was accepted into the service of Prince Arutha when he made a fatal betrayal with his long time coworkers. Unknowingly, he is one of the many bastard sons of the leader of the Mockers, the Upright Man. The saying, "Once a Mocker, always a Mocker," goes well with James' attitude, as he uses his pick pocket skills in the name of the Prince. Formerly known as Jimmy the Hand, this rascal aspires to someday become Duke of Krondor.

Brother Solon

Devout priest of the Temple of Ishap, Brother Solon is a warrior monk, wielding his war hammer in the name of all that is good. He answers Squire James' call for help in retrieving the Tear of the Gods from the infamous pirate, Bear. Solon is eventually promoted to replace the venerable Michael of Salador and receives the Hammer of Luc d'Orbain for his efforts.

Pug ConDoin

The most powerful magician in the realm of Midkemia, Pug appeared to be a boy of unusual talents that couldn't be unlocked. Apprentice to Master Kulgan, it was discovered the reason for this: Pug was talented as a magician of the Greater Path (who don't exist on Midkemia), and Kulgan, a Lesser Path magician, was unable to unleash his powers. Saving the Princess of Crydee, he was adopted into the royal family (as he was an orphan before). Captured by the Tsurani and brought to their homeworld, his powers were discovered, and he was sent to the Great Ones, powerful wizards of the Greater Path. It was there that he was taught, and finally became what he truly was, the savior of the Midkemia people and the most powerful wizard since Macros the Black. Eventually returning to his own world, Pug had already married a Tsurani woman and had a son, William ConDoin. He now is the leader of the magical bastion of Stardock.

William ConDoin

Son the master magician Pug ConDoin, William showed early signs of becoming as powerful as his father, but chose the life of a warrior instead. Powerfully built and a skilled commander, he rose to the position of the Honor Guard. He was the one that laid the seemingly invincible Bear to rest.

Aglaranna

Queen of the elves residing in Elvandar, she is consort to Tomas. Respected among elves, she is the mother of Calis. She is wise in more ways then one, and was one of the main factors the Tsurani were repelled from elven lands. With a strong will and able mind, she is expected to live a long and fulfilled life, pledging her time to her husband, son, and people.
