Like most fans, when I saw the second edition of the Mary-Kate and Ashley Life Story magazine, I immediately picked it up. While reading it, though, I came to an article talking about the cruises the girls have gone on, and I was absolutely shocked to discover that the writers of the magazine had used quotes from me within it! I thought it was kinda cool, so I typed out the article for my site. Enjoy. :o)

Fan-tastic!

Mary-Kate and Ashley also had a great time meeting their fans on board [the Sail With The Stars Cruises]. "It's fun because we get to play games together and dance together," Mary-Kate explained during a web chat. "Although sometimes people come knocking at our doors at night and call us!"

Fortunately, most of their fans were more considerate. For example, Leslie, who's now 21, was aboard Mary-Kate and Ashley's Caribbean cruise in 1994. Not only did she meet the girls, but she also appeared as an extra in Mary-Kate and Ashley's home video, Mystery On The High Seas, which was filmed on the ship.

"The first scene I shot was where the girls are handing out business cards on the ship," wrote Leslie on her website. She describes the behind-the-scenes action. "Mary-Kate and Ashley had an acting coach who ran through their lines until they could mimic them back to her flawlessly. In order to practice the line where they enthusiastically say 'Detective Girls!', the twins called out 'Ghostbusters!' a few times to get the right feel."

Today, Leslie is still a big fan - in fact, she recently flew to Canada to be an extra in their upcoming movie, New York Minute! She isn't shy about her devotion. "I've loved Mary-Kate and Ashley since they began on Full House," she writes. "I grew up watching them, so I feel like I know them, even though I'm sure that sounds weird!"
