New York Minute Tidbits
Here's some inside info about New York Minute!
Contrary to what Star Magazine said, the girl's stunt doubles are NOT guys, they are women! Trust me, I've seen them up close in person.
The crew usually called Mary-Kate "MK".
Mary-Kate has a black Chinese symbol tattoo on her lower left back. I don't know if it's real or not... I'd thought it was for the movie, but I don't remember ever seeing it on screen, so I'm wondering if it's an actual tattoo she has.
On the call sheet (the paper that tells the cast and crew when they should be on set and what will be filming that day), the only time Mary-Kate and Ashley are mentioned by name is as producers - under 'cast' they are referred to as "R. Ryan" and "J. Ryan" for security purposes.
There are two different dogs that play Reneildo - their names are Chrissy and Gala.
Mary-Kate's stand-in was named Kim, Ashley's was Sarah.
The girls don't spend a lot of time on set - their stand-ins do the rehearsals for them, then MK and Ash are brought in to shoot the scene, and then they leave again.
When the cameras weren't rolling, both girls would throw on a hoodie and boots so they were more comfortable.
Mary-Kate has a habit of twirling her hair with her finger.
Mary-Kate had just finished reading the play Amadeus by Peter Shaffer while on set.
The girls do most of their own stunts - the stunt doubles would go through the motions once or twice to make sure it was safe and to help get the camera in the right position, then Mary-Kate and Ashley would come in a do the stunt themselves.
