Got small hands and wanna be able to reach those big chords?

No, I'm not talking about doing some kind of perverted thing here. Here's
an exercise that I learned when I was first starting to play the guitar
which helped me reach some monster chords that I probably couldn't reach
using both hands before. Start off with: little finger == 12th fret - d string ring finger == 11th fret - g string middle finger == 10th fret - b string index finger == 9th fret - e string

and then play the strings as it is below. after you finish the measure
(section), move the index finger down a fret. . play it again.. then move
your middle finger down a fret.. then the ring finger.. then little.. keep
doing this until you get to the 1st fret and then either stop OR if you're
really feeling adventurous try going back up the neck. if you want to work
on your finger picking you can also do that with this exercise. by
playing the D string with your thumb.. and then the rest with your index,
middle, and ring fingers... hope this helps... l r m i .... e |-----------9-----------|-----------8------------|----------8----------| b |--------10---10--------|--------10----10--------|--------9---9--------| g |-----11---------11-----|-----11----------11-----|-----11-------11-----| d |--12---------------12--|--12----------------12--|--12-------------12--| a |-----------------------|------------------------|---------------------| e |-----------------------|------------------------|---------------------| i m r m i ...
