I once read an article about Hanson where their younger sister Jessica was quoted as saying,"Girls are weird." Well, the more I thought about that, the more it made sense. If girls screamed over my older brother, I'd think the same thing.
I started thinking. What would Jessi be able to tell us about Hanson that we don't already know? What if she could write a story about them?
So I started writing and ended up with the first two chapters of Girls Are Weird. They sat on my hard drive collecting dust for a couple years. Then on a whim, I submitted them to a Hanfic critique group I had joined. I got such a positive response that I dusted off the story and decided to continue writing. I never set out to make Jessi such a snoop, her character just evolved into that.
Yes, I support Hanson Family Privacy. I don't approve of people following around the younger siblings and taking pictures of them when they clearly do no want to be in the spotlight. I don't think this story violates that though. Why?
Probably because Jessica Hanson would probably laugh should she ever read this story. And lets face it, its FICTION. We don't know any of the Hansons. They don't know us.
This story is for all the little sisters who have famous older brothers. They may be famous, but that shouldn't make your view of them change. Continue thinking of them as obnoxious and annoying.
