Camping isn't usually considered a dangerous activity. I mean, with six siblings, it's not particularly safe either, but dangerous? I don't think so.
Marissa seems to have a talent for making everything difficult.
I don't know what he's talking about. I've never made anything difficult in my life.
Well, except for Taylor's pathetic little existence.
"I think I should make a new rule that Marissa shouldn't be allowed to accompany us anywhere that Taylor is involved,"I told Aimee.
She laughed.
"I'm serious."It was our first night on a four day, three night camping trip and so far I'd had to pry her fingers out from around Taylor's neck twice. This was not a good sign as to how the rest of the weekend would go.
Aimee still thought I was kidding. I was really glad she got to come. I was surprised that Aunt Barbara let her come, but I think she was afraid of Marissa's wrath.
So were we all.
Even sitting by the campfire that night with Isaac's arms around me didn't make me feel better. Well, it did make me feel a little better, how could it have not, but I was still a little apprehensive about how this trip was going to go.
"Are you and Libby dating?"Avie wanted to know.
"We sure are,"I replied, squeezing Libby's shoulder a little."Any particular reason why you want to know?"
She turned to Libby."Marry Isaac. Then we can be sisters."
I smiled as Libby turned bright red. She was so cute when she was embarrassed.
"I'm going for a walk,"Marissa announced."Who wants to come?"
Zoe was already asleep, and Jess and Avie were (from what I could see) planning out Libby and my's wedding so Mackie was the only one who wanted to go.
And while I advised him not to, Taylor followed after about a minute.
This could be interesting.
You won't believe what I saw on the walk! Marissa tripped on a stick when she wasn't looking where she was going, (I think she was looking at Taylor's butt) and when she fell, Taylor caught her.
She didn't even hit him or anything like I thought she was going to.
Then, (it gets weirder) he leaned in, and it looked like he was going to kiss her. That's not even the weird part, I hear he's done that before. The weird part is, she looked like she wanted him to.
I gotta go tell Libby. She'll want to hear this.
Libby didn't even look surprised by Mackie's news. She said that Marissa had a thing for Taylor, that she'd had it for years, and she didn't know why she pretended that she hated him.
"Is she usually this delusional?"Zac asked.
* * *
"Aimee! Hey!"Libby whispered furiously. I opened one eye to find both her and Marissa staring at me.
"What?"I grumbled.
"Wanna go skinny-dipping?"Marissa grinned.
Sure. Why not?
Skinny dipping? I decided that there was a god.
I nudged Zac."Wake up!"
"Shut up, Tay,"Isaac moaned.
I smiled widely."The girls are going skinny-dipping."
Both of my brothers sat straight up.
"Aimee too?"Zac wanted to know.
I nodded."I heard them waking her up. Shall we?"
"Isn't that kind of an invasion of their privacy?"
Zac and I both looked at Isaac with our mouths hanging open.
"Never mind."
We all hurried to pull on our clothing as fast as we could and practically ran out of the tent down to the lake, where we could see three figures stepping into the water.
Oh, yeah. Someone loves me.
Okay, one small part of me agreed with Isaac on the whole "invasion of their privacy" thing, but the guy part of me won over real quick and I found myself crouched in the bushes with Taylor and Isaac, watching the lake where all three girls were swimming around.
"What do they think we're all retarded?"Marissa asked and we all giggled as we watched the Hanson brothers hiding in the bushes by the lake.
"Like we could have missed the sound of them trying to get some pants on,"Aimee giggled.
Luckily for us, we came prepared. We'd looped our bathing suits around our wrists just in case someone discovered us. Better to be safe than sorry.
We pulled on our bikinis, giggling the whole time and proceeded to walk calmly out of the water.
We all held our breaths as the girls stepped out of the water. I couldn't believe I was actually here, watching this.
"I can't see anything!"Zac hissed.
Taylor turned toward him with an annoyed look on his face."That's because they're wearing bathing suits."
This would only happen to me.
I hate Camping.
