Finishing this story is one of my most bittersweet projects, but I felt it had to be done. For so long I obsessed over the ending, fearing that I would never find the right way to end it. Then I realized that I didn't.
I started this story when I was only twelve. If I wrote an amazing ending, it wouldn't fit in with the rest of the story. So, I just tried to write an ending that fit. Especially since I was so close to the end of this story.
At 138 pages, this is the longest novel I have ever finished, which makes me prouder then you all can imagine. I toyed with re-writing this story, but in the end I decide not to. If I did, this story would have then teenybopperish charm that makes it such a fond memory for me. I remember writing each and every chapter of this story.
I did, however, almost get a little carried away with the ending, thinking about Mitzi and Isaac. I don't think I will write a sequel, although I was tempted when I came up with the idea of her divorce and those three daughter (poor Ike).
Thanks for reading the story. This was my very first hanfic posted on the net, very first hanfic written, and holds a lot of memories for me.
Feedback is appreciated as always. I was trying to write my own version of "Tulsa 74132", and have always wondered how I did.
